Tonkichi Japanese Restaurant is a casual dining restaurant located within the Shaw House shopping plaza on the corner of Scotts Road and Orchard Rd, directly opposite the Marriott Hotel. Tonkichi specialises in Tonkatsu, Japanese deep fried pork cutlets coated in breadcrumbs. The prices at Tonkichi are reasonable. They also serve a good range of sushi and sashimi, at the back of the restaurant you can see the sushi chef prepare the food.

Good quality Japanese tonkatsu. I ordered thee katsu don which is the pork tenderloin served in a bowl with rice and top with egg. Really nice Japanese home cooking, real comfort food. Good prices and convenient location. You can access the free Isetan WiFi internet access inside the restaurant.
