Ginza Sushi Ichi is a Michellin stared Sushi restaurant located within Scotts Square between the Marriott Hotel and Grand Hyatt Hotel on Scotts Road Singapore. Ginza Sushi Ichi has a famous restaurant in Tokyo based in Ginza. The branch in Singapore is a fine dining Sushi and Kyoto kaiseiki ryori restaurant - kaiseiki is a set meal made up of many small dishes. The restaurant is run by chefs originally trained in the Tokyo restaurant - Chef Keisuke Ohno, Chef Seiji Sudo & Chef Yukinori Kawakami and acclaimed Kyoto Kaiseiki Ryori craft master Chef Hiroki Sudou.
All the seafood that is served at Ginza Sushi Ichi is brought in from the Tsukiji Fish Markets in Tokyo. Sometimes this restaurant is closed if the Tsujiki Fish markets have been closed especially at the beginning of January when Tsukiji is closed for several days for Japanese public holidays. The sushi menu in Ginza Sushi Ichi only had 4 items listed on it, each a set meal. Dinner menu prices for these set meals are $210, $250, $330 and $450. Lunch menu prices start from $60 per person.
This is the best sushi restaurant in Singapore. Very expensive but well worth it for the totally amazing Japanese dining experience. The sushi chef I had was very entertaining and explained all the dishes he presented in front of me. All the sushi was incredibly well prepared and very tasty. The sushi set course I had was $230. I knocked back a few beers and some sake and the total bill came to around S$400. One of the most expensive meals I have had but I enjoyed the whole experience greatly. I will back next time I am in Singapore
